We collect: your email address, display name, profile photo, and campus affiliation (optional). When you use Shwapz, we also collect listing details, swap history, chat messages, ratings, and reputation data.
Your information is used to: display your profile to other users, facilitate swaps, build your reputation score, send notifications about swap activity, and improve the platform.
Your listings and profile are visible to other signed-in Shwapz users. Your email address is never shared with other users.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared with: other users on your campus (listing and profile info), and service providers who help operate the platform (hosting, database).
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
You can: access your personal data through your profile, update your information at any time, request deletion of your account and data by contacting support.
Shwapz uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Shwapz is intended for college students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
